Hamilton believed that the perfect union would be one in which there were no states at all. At the same time, however, Hamilton realized that eliminating the states was impossible, at least at the Philadelphia Convention, because there were too many other Americans who favored the rights of the states over a strong national government, if you’re writing it down change it slightly!! i hope this helped

Despite the belief that the war would be over quickly, why did a stalemate occur along the Western Front?
bezimeni [28]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Despite the belief that the war would be over quickly, a stalemate occurred along the Western Front due to the fact that the German troops could not defeat France quickly and soldiers dug trenches. Germany assumed a defensive position during the stalemate of 1917.

The Allies, under the command of French leader Robert Nivelle, decide to move and attack the Germans, but they decide to withdraw to the Hinderburg Line. So plans changed, and the decision was to attack the Germans in the Battle of Arras of April 4, 1917, with the direct support of the British troops.

Why was the louisiana purchase a bit of an embarassement for jefferson
IgorC [24]
I think that the best answer is the second one:
<span>They had pledged to fight with other countries,
although in a way, the first is also appropriate, as Europe was witnessing a lot of internal tensions at the time. But the main and more direct reason was that they had pledged to fight with others.
