The success of individuals such as Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell changed American culture because: A) Their success encouraged people to experiment and invent new products. Thomas Edison was successful in inventing things like the light bulb and the phonograph. Alexander Graham Bell was successful in inventing the telephone as well as the first successful metal detector. These successes by these men helped encourage the American people to experiment more and invent new things.
