Suppose that 1500 volcanoes on the earth surface are active. If 80% of this volcanoes are located at convergent tectonic plate boundaries how many active volcanoes are located at convergent boundaries?

In order to calculate this, we simply need to find out how many is 80% of 1500, like this:

$\frac{80}{100} *1500=8*15=4*30=120$


So the answer is: 120 volcanoes are located in this area!
