The assimilation of Native Americans was a goal of _____. leaders such as Crazy Horse
Rus_ich [418]

The assimilation of Native Americans was a goal of the federal government.

During the late 1800's, the federal government had the goal of assimilating Native Americans into mainstream America. In this case, the government wanted Native Americans to act more like white farmers (which made up a majority of America). This resulted in several different laws and policies that would help enforce this idea. This includes the Dawes Act and the creation of Indian Boarding Schools.

Indian Boarding Schools were schools were Native American kids were sent to learn more about the English language, American culture, etc. Unfortunately, this system had many negative effects as it resulted in the destruction of some Native American cultures and languages.

What was the main goal of Wilson’s Fourteen Points?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer: 1. to prevent future conflict in Europe

Explanation:

The United States was also supposed to be part of that community, but Congress never approved that request. Wilson received the Nobel Peace Prize a year before the expiration of his presidential term (1920) for promoting the ideals of peace in the world

How did Eastern European ethnic and religious groups contribute to American culture in the 1800s?
kobusy [5.1K]
The Dutch East India Company sent Henry Hudson to explore the area where New York City is now in the years 1609. There formed a colony named New Holland and its capital was New Amsterdam. The Puritan religion came with the Quakers and Amish, who settled along the Delaware River; also the Baptists and Mennonites came from Eastern Europe. The new Pennsylvania town grew rapidly with the German farmers of the Rin River region and with the Irish-Scots who later arrived. Thus, religion had the influence of the Puritans, who brought with them the value of work, simple life, far from the sin of old Europe, and with their customs, folklore, legends and even music, like polyphonic religious music.
