Basically, like soil, the society is divided into classes, most commonly based on wealth, so you have the upper class, the middle class, the working class, and the lower class which is basically a nice term for poor people. Because of such stratification, those belonging to certain classes have limited access to other classes and it's difficult for a lower class person to become a middle class or an upper class person. This more or less means that there is a high chance that you will remain in the class that you were born in. This causes a lot of inequality on a state wide basis among all people.
That would be a suburb. Outside of most cities are smaller residences or suburbs. It's not as hectic as the big city, and most will have access to public transportation and apartments(suburbs closer to rural areas will most likely have neighborhoods), but a more relaxed atmosphere, similar to a rural area. I hope I helped with your question. Have a good day!
Answer:
The colonies.
Explanation:
Mercantilism meant a strict control of trade by the metropolis. Colonies were not free to trade with other nations. The idea of a controlled market was based on the idea that a nation should try to remain completely autonomous, particularly in the production of food and other basic goods. Under this idea, allowing free trade would weaken the nation's ability to provide food and grain to its population in a time of need.
Mercantilism also meant that the ruler had a responsibility with all his subjects in regards to his ability to secure food and basic goods in a protected market. Producers, particularly those in the colonies felt that this limited their margin of profit and excluded them from more lucrative offers.
