The correct answer to this open question is the following.

People in developed countries eat four times more than people in developing countries.

Hunger is one of the most important problems that countries have to solve because people live under poverty conditions and limited resources to feed themselves. Experts on the subject consider that almost 15% of people in under developing countries and poor nations lived under chronic undernourishment, suffering from unhealthy living conditions and diseases. Many regions of India and Africa show poverty indexes that are alarming Nongovernmental Organizations and the United Nations. Sad but true. On this planet, few nations have more than what they need and people waste food, meanwhile, the majority of nations have problems to feed their people.

Please help me with both questions!!
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

17. Laccolith

18. Sill

Explanation:

A laccolith is formed when magma makes its way up a d-ike and lodges itself between sedimentary rocks. The successive flow puts pressure on the rock such that a dome like structure is formed.

Sills are like mini laccoliths but instead are much smaller and linear. They can appear on multiple layers as shown in the diagram above.

How do we know that earth's magnetic field has undergone reversals in the past?
slega [8]
We know that the poles had changed positions in the past, because of the arrangement of the crystals in the rocks made out of metal. The crystals of the metals act like the needle of the compass when the rock is cooling off and forming, they turn into the direction of the strongest magnetic field on the Earth, which is the North Pole. So by studying the rocks that are made out of metals and see the crystals arrangement and also estimate the age of the rocks, the scientist can precisely tell how has the North Pole been moving throughout time.
