A counter argument is basically acknowledging the other perspective. So if I were writing an essay on how a dog is the best pet, I would explain why people might think it's not the best pet (that would be my counter argument).
So you essentially argue against your thesis to show the other perspective, so you can then say why it's invalid.
it is a rebuttal. if you do not know what that is it is when someone says “using plastic straws are bad for the turtles” but you counter argument saying “when you get plastic straws at a restaurant it will still go in the trash whether you use one or not” you know what i mean? if you need help you can always comment on this post
The first one is 's . And the second one is just ' . Because ''our cousins'' definitely plural. So, we do not use ''s'' after the plurals for kind of these words.
