History

Both the Rebellion of Santo Domingo and the Rebellion of Gabriel were attempts to combat slavery, at a time very far from the true abolition of slavery in the world (two century away) in which slaves led by the young slave Gabriel, and in Santo Domingo, by the three leaders Toussaint L'Ouverture, Jean-Jacques Dessalines and Henri Christophe, both fought for their freedom and their rights, in addition to fighting with the support of white people, who taking advantage of the Revolution French and the rising Rights of Man, gave freedom of the slaves. In the case of Gabriel, it is said that his rebellion could be so strong as to change history and end slavery 200 years earlier, but tragically he did not succeed and the slave Gabriel happened to be a case of exceptional rebellion.

Mesopotamia is important because it is the first river valley civilization. ... Mesopotamia is significant for two reasons, one: It is the first civilization, and two: many important inventions and innovations were first introduced in the city states of Mesopotamia.

Writing, math, medicine, libraries, road networks, domesticated animals, spiked wheels, the zodiac, astronomy, looms, plows, the legal system, and even beer making and counting in 60s (kinda handy when telling time). These are just a few of the concepts and ideas invented in Mesopotamia that are used today.
