John Adams was born on October 19, 1735 in what is now Quincy, Massachusetts. He was a founding father of the US, its independence, and its constitution. John Adams was the first Vice President in the United States history, before following George Washington as the 2nd president. John Adams wife was a very notable figure in today's history; Abigail Adams, who also was his closest adviser. John Adam additionally became the first of only two presidents to have a descendant (John Quincy Adams) become a president as well. John Adams died on July 24 1826, which consequently also the 50th anniversary of independence from Britain.
