1. The fifth graders' artwork is hung first.

2.  The second graders are between the fifth graders and the third graders. Since the fifth graders' artwork is hung first, then the second graders' artwork is hung second and the third graders' artwork is hung third.

3. The third graders are to the left of the fourth graders. This means that the fourth graders' artwork is hung fourth.

Answer: 5th draders' artwork, 2nd graders' artwork, 3rd graders' artwork, 4th graders' artwork (from the left to the right).

Jessica wants to plan where she will place furniture in her room, so she has drawn a scale model of her room in order to begin p
Setler79 [48]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
 1. You have that:
<span> - The scale model is 11 inches long and 8.5 inches wide.
 - The door to her room takes up 1.75 inches.
 - The longest wall in Jessica’s actual room is 15 feet long.
 2. Therefore, the actual size of the door is:
 15 feet=180 inches
 1.75 inches(180 inches/11 inches)=28.63 inches
 3. If the door in completely open, you must apply the formula for calculate the area of a semicircle:
 A=</span>πr²/2
 r=28.63 inches
 A=π(28.63 inches)²/2
 A=1288.11 inches²
 The answer is: 1288.11 inches²

A sealed rectangular container 10 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches is sitting on its largest face. If it is filled with water up
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

8 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Dimension of rectangular container= (10\times12\times 6)\ inches

           Water is filled up to a level 2 inches from the top.

As given that container is sitting on its largest face, then it is standing on (10\times 12)\ inches

Which means the height of container is 6 inches and it ie filled with water up to 2 inches from the top.

∴ Height of water inside the container= 6-2= 4 \ inches

Now, finding the volume of water inside.

we know, Volume= length\times width\times height

Volume= 10\times 12\times 4= 480\ inches^{3}

Next, if container is placed in its smallest face then it is standing on (10\times 6)\ inches and lets assume height to be "x"

Forming an equation now to express the volume conservation law.

⇒ 480\ inches^{3} = 10\times 6\times x

⇒480= 60x

dividing both side by 60

⇒x= \frac{480}{60}

∴ x= 8 inches

Hence, 8 inches from the bottom will the water level reach if the container is placed on its smallest face
