The answer to the question, "Which type of committee handles recurring tasks in an organization?" is...

Standing Committees

Explanation:

In Government both the House of Representatives and the Senate are divided up into committees in order to make them more efficient. The committees you hear about most are the standing committees, which are relatively permanent and handle the day-to-day business or recurring tasks of Congress.

The House has 19 standing committees and the Senate 16. Congressmen and Senators serve on multiple committees. Each committee has a chairperson, or chair, who is the one who usually gets mentioned in the press.

Congress creates special or select committees to deal with particular issues that are beyond the jurisdiction of standing committees. Some of them are temporary and some, like the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, are permanent. Some of them have only an advisory function which means they can't write laws. The Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming has only advisory authority for example.

There are joint committees made up of members of both houses. Most of them are standing committees and they don't do a lot although the joint Committee on the Library oversees the Library of Congress. Like that one, many standing committees handle recurring or day to day tasks in an organization.

Why is there an immediacy to Edwards's sermon 'Sinners in the Hands of an
sasho [114]

Answer: 3 He believes that the judgement of heaven is near.

From Oxford Languages, immediacy means "the quality of bringing one into direct and instant involvement with something, giving rise to a sense of urgency or excitement." (languages.oup.com)

The only option in the list that talks about doing something quickly or urgently is option 3, hence our answer.

Have a nice day!

Note: I myself am not religious, this is simply relating to Edwards's sermon

Usimov [2.4K]
The Giver told Jonas that the things he saw were because Jonas was able to recognize color before everything else was the same.
It showed that Jonas, like the Giver, was different from the rest of the people in the community because they can see into the future because of the passing of memories.
