The Constitutional Convention was held in Philadelphia, between May and September of 1787 to 1789. During this convention, the weak Presidency was discussed and the Federalists wanted a stronger executive branch. For one, the Feds wanted to eliminate completely the Articles of Confederation, which was responsible for the apparent weak central government. The Feds wanted a more strong and central government; also eliminating power to the states governor.

By the end of the Convention in Philadelphia, there was a new Constitution altogether, and the Anti-Federalists were able to bring along a few details from the Articles of Confederation onto the new Constitution of 1787. This was portrayed in what is known today as the Bill of Rights.

What major events led to the establishment of the navy and the department of the navy?
Vinvika [58]
The Continental Navy was created by George Washington in 1775 to protect the American colonies from attacks by the British. At the end of the Revolutionary War, the Continental Navy was disbanded. However, American merchant ships were under continuous attacks by North African pirates so the Department of the Navy was created by Congress in April 1798. Also, after the American Revolution, the British refused to leave American territory along the Great Lakes and continued to attack American merchant ships. This led to the War of 1812.

→ Media was carefully used to win support for the regime and popularise it.
→ Nazism worked on the minds of the people, tapped their emotions and turned their hatred and anger against those marked as ‘undesirable’.
→ Special surveillance and security forces to control and order society in ways that the Nazis wanted, was created.
→ The police forces had powers to rule with impunity. Genocide also created an atmosphere of fear and repression which helped them to establish total control over its people. *This took me way too long to organize. I'm Sorry For Typing So Much. Hope This Helps*
