Option "B" is an example of metaphor: <em>"Her room was a pigsty."</em> A metaphor describes an object but in a way that it isn't literally true. When using a metaphor, you are comparing things <u>indirectly</u>; that's why you are making use of figurative language (not literal language). In the example, "her room" is being compare with an enclosure for pigs (i.e. her room is really dirty and a mess.)

Options "A" and "C" are examples of similes which are other way of comparing two different things, but in a <u>direct</u> manner. The words "like" or "as" are used for similes.

Option "D": There's no comparison by neither a metaphor nor a simile; just a description of her "room" by means of a descriptive adjective.

Answer:

Explanation:

Answer

The queen of Spain is expected to behave with decorum.

The father and son were reverse pof what their names suggested
lys-0071 [83]

The names of the father and son did not represent what they really were.

  • Father Subal's name means "strong" and because in reality it did not represent what the father was, because he was already old and weak, that is why he could not do many things and longed to be young again.

  • The son's name Sushil which means "gentle and quiet" did not really represent what the son actually was, as he was very mischievous and liked to cause trouble for the neighbors.

What evidence from the text support the idea that Macbeth has decided he will start taking immediate action instead of being so
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

D. And even now, /to crown my thoughts with acts, be it thought and done.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare's <em>Macbeth</em><em> </em>revolves around the life of Macbeth and his rise to power courtesy of the three witches' prophecy of his supremacy in the kingdom. And in this zeal to achieve his intended power of being king, he did numerable murderous deeds just to get to the top, which also led to his downfall.

As seen in the speech of Macbeth in Act IV scene i, he seems greatly disturbed at the prophecy of the three witches and demanded they tell him more. But then when he got the warning that Macduff is getting away, he decided to immediately pursue the man and kill him. He decided that instead of being indecisive, he will act instantly on any occasion so as to achieve his aim and mot give it a second thought. And this is perfectly supported in the line <em>"and even now,/ to crown my thoughts with acts,/ be it thought and done". </em>
