Answer:

The correct answer is C. The colony of Rhode Island was the most tolerant of different religious beliefs in New England.

Explanation:

Rhode Island was the first place since its foundation, in what is now the United States, which allowed religious freedom. In 1636 Roger Williams, after being expelled from the Massachusetts Bay Colony for his religious beliefs, established himself at one end of Narragansett Bay. This place was called Providence, and was declared a zone of freedom of worship. Williams had maintained friendly agreements between the colonists and the tribe of the Narragansett, who became allies of the English in 1637 against the Pequots. Despite this, the peace was not lasting, as conflicts soon arose between the settlers and the Indians.

Sever21 [200]

Answer:

C. an attempt to economically isolate Great Britain.

Explanation:

Napoleon's Continental System was "an attempt to economically isolate Great Britain."

This is evident in the fact that Napoleon's Continental System made the decrees of Berlin and Milan in 1806 and 1807 respectively which declared blockade to specifically incapacitate Great Britain economy through the wreckage of British commercial activities.
