No, A newspaper article should be based on facts not anybody's opinion

Reason:
When writing a newspaper article, you are writing about a story, and what happened. The facts, basically. People want to hear the real story, not your opinion. The newspaper article is focused on a person or story. It gives what actually happened, not your opinions and what you seem to know.
