Okay so bare with me here, I haven't done these in awhile but;

First equation: Round 478 to 480 and round 12 to 10.... So now you have to think how many 10's can fit into 480. Which is 48. And for the second estimate for this number would be round 480 to 500 and 12 to 10. How many times does 10 go into 500? 50 times.

Second equation: Round 336 to 300 and 12 to 10. How many times does 10 go into 300? 30 times. For the second estimate: Round again, 336 to 340 and 12 to 10. How many times does 10 go into 340? 34.

Third Equation: Round 2,242 to 2,240 and 33 to 35. How many times can 35 go into 2,240? 64 times. Second estimate would be 2,242 to 2,000 and 33 to 30. How many times can 30 go into 2,200? 73.

I hope this helps and I really appreciate it if you could give me brainliest answer because I did a ton of research to try to remember this haha.. <3 Good luck!

Bess [88]

Answer:

The number of students attended was 334 and the number of non students attended was 127

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> the number students attended

y ----> the number of non students attended

we know that

x+y=461 ----> equation A

3.50x+5.50y=1,867.50 ----> equation B

Solve the system of equations by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

The solution is the point (334,127)

see the attached figure

therefore

The number of students attended was 334 and the number of non students attended was 127
