P=38
2x-5 I would set it to 38
2x-5=38 den add 5 to both sides
2x=43 den divide 2 to both sides
X=22 this might be wrong I might have fixed it with my Geo. if this isn't what ur doing please let me know

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-2,5) and (3,-4) in the standard (x,y) coordinate plane
Scorpion4ik [409]

To find the slope between two coordinates, you use the formula:

m = y2 - y1/x2 - x1

If coordinate A is (-2, 5) and coordinate B is (3, -4), then:

y2 = -4

y1 = 5

x2 = 3

x1 = -2

So, just substitute the points into the formula.

m = -4 - 5/3 - (-2)

m = -9/5

The slope of the line is -9/5.

Write an expression that can be usedto find the nth termo of each sequence 9, 17, 25, 33
ra1l [238]

Answer:

The expression used to find the nth term of each sequence 9, 17, 25, 33 will be:

 • a_n=8n+1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the sequence

9, 17, 25, 33

a₁ = 9

Determining the common difference

d = 17-9 = 8

d = 25-17 = 8

d = 33-25 = 8

As the common difference between the adjacent terms is same and equal to

d = 8

Therefore, the given sequence is an Arithmetic sequence.

An arithmetic sequence has a constant difference 'd' and is defined by

a_n=a_1+\left(n-1\right)d

substituting a₁ = 9, d = 8 in the equation

\:a_n=9+8n-8

a_n=8n+1

Therefore, the expression used to find the nth term of each sequence 9, 17, 25, 33 will be:

 • a_n=8n+1

You are making a rectangular quilt with dimensions 48 inches by 60 inches. the fabric you are using costs $1.50 per square foot.
horsena [70]
We have to calculate the area of a rectangular quilt.
area of a rectangle=length x width
Data:
length=60 in=60 in(1 foot/12 in)=5 ft
width=40 in=40 in(1 foot/12 in)=3.33 ft

Area of the rectangula quilt=(5 in)(3.33 in)=16.67 ft²

Now, we have to calculate the cost of this quilt
$1.50-----------------1 ft²
x------------------------ 16.67 ft²

x=($1.5 * 16.67 ft²)/1 ft²=$25

Answer: the cost of the rectangular quilt was $25

Dan paid a total of $25.80 last month for his international calls. He makes international calls only to England. Dan pays $0.06
hammer [34]

Hello,

I Believe he used a total of 247 minutes.

Solution:

You want to subtract $10.98 from $25.80 because that is the monthly fee.

You are left with $14.82.

Now you divide $14.82 by $0.06 which is what every minute cost him.

and you get 247.

If you are solving for y the answer is -1

-4(24+8y)=-64 You want to distribute

-96-32y=-64 Then add 96 to each side

-32y=32 finally divide by -32

y=-1

Hope this helps!!!! :)
