We have been given that Federica used 13.4 gallons of gasoline to drive 448.9 miles and we have to find out average number of miles she drove per gallon of gasoline.

In order to find out average number of miles Federica drove per gallon of gasoline we will divide total number of miles she drove by the total number of gallons of gasoline she used in driving total number of miles.

\frac{448.9}{13.4} miles/gallon

After simplifying our expression we will get

\frac{448.9}{13.4}=\frac{67}{2}=33.5 miles/gallon

Therefore, the average number of miles that  Federica drove per gallon of gasoline is 33.5 miles per gallon.

Point A(1,9) and point B(−4,−3) are located within the coordinate plane.
AlekseyPX

Answer:

The answer to your question is 13 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

A (1, 9)

B (-4, -3)

distance = ?

Formula

distance = \sqrt{(x2 - x1)^{2} + (y2 - y1)^{2}}

Substitution

distance = \sqrt{(-4 - 1)^{2} + (-3 - 9)^{2}}

Simplification

distance = \sqrt{(-5)^{2} + (-12)^{2}}

distance = \sqrt{25 + 144}

distance = \sqrt{169}

Result

distance = 13
