Question: What were the saddest memories you remember? Answer: I think the saddest memory is the day we had to leave our farm. I

know my mother and father were worried. They did not know what would happen to us. We had no idea where we would be sent. People were all crying and many families were upset. Some believed we would not be treated well, and maybe killed. There were many disturbing rumors. Everyone was easily upset and there were many arguments. It was a horrible experience for all of us, the old people like my grandparents, my parents and children like me. We were all innocent. The government had no real reason to send us into these camps. There were racists who did not want the Japanese to own land and begin to prosper. Racism, prejudice, greed, and lack of political leadership caused the evacuation and internment. Which statement best describes Tsukamoto’s response to the question? She does not answer the question. She decides to answer another question instead. She avoids controversial topics. She answers the question.

A speech organized using a chronological pattern may present the main points of a message either forward or backward in a system
grandymaker [24]

According to the statement it can be inferred that it is true that speeches can use a chronological structure to present points in the past and the future.

What is the chronological structure?

The chronological structure is a type of narrative structure whose main characteristic is the use of time references (past, present and future) to organize the information of a discourse.

According to the above, it can be inferred that the speeches that systematically refer to past and future events are examples of chronological structure.

An example of a systematic chronological speech might be when a president gives his final speech before leaving office. He generally refers to specific episodes of the past such as difficulties or great achievements of his government and later refers to future events that his government projected, such as lowering the unemployment rate, increasing human development and reducing inequality.

Note: This question is incomplete because the options are missing. Here are the options:

 • True or False.
