Nathaniel Bacon was a colonist of Virginia Colony and he was known for instigating the Bacon's rebellion that ended when he himself died.
He led a rebellion against the wealthy land owners of Virginia in 1676 because he resented the Virginia's governor's friendly policies towards native Americans. Bacon was helping the African Americans as they endured attacks by natives and the Governor, William Berkeley refused to retaliate against the native attackers.

The aftermath of the wall street crash was very disastrous. Investors lost their money and was not able to pay off their debts. Many banks closed, leaving their depositors with no money nor hope for the future. Ordinary people lost their means to buy foods and other basic needs like shelter and clothes. In January 1699 Iberville explored the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico, rediscovering the mouth of the Mississippi. Later he established a temporary fort, Fort Maurepas, on Biloxi Bay (now Ocean Springs, Miss.) and then sailed for France. The following year he returned and established a second fort, Fort La Boulaye, just below present-day New Orleans and in 1702 constructed a new post, Fort St. Louis, on the Mobile River. The success of these defense projects persuaded Louis XIV to begin colonizing Louisiana.
