Population = all Texas 8th graders
Sample = Mrs. Jones's thirty 8th graders
Sampling method = convenience sampling

Yes, there was a sampling bias. Since the complete sample was from the same school and class, it does not represent the total population of Texas 8th graders very well.

Hoped this helped :D

The table below shows a pattern in the cost of renting a car based on the number of days rented. Car Rentals Number of Days (d)
andrezito [222]

The linear equation that describes the pattern in the cost of renting a car is given by:

  • D. c = 34d + 25

<h3>What is a linear function? </h3>

A linear function is modeled by:

y(x) = mx + b

In which:

  • m is the slope, which is the rate of change, that is, by how much y changes when x changes by 1.
  • b is the y-intercept, which is the value of y when x = 0.

In this problem:

  • For each day, the cost of renting a car increases by 34, hence, the slope is of 34, and the equation is:

c(d) = 34d + b

When d = 4, c = 161, and this is used to find b.

c(d) = 34d + b

161 = 34(4) + b

b = 25

Hence, the equation is c = 34d + 25, and option D is correct.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

length times width = area

so you have 8.5w=93.5

divide 8.5 on both sides to get your answer

w= 11

so your width must be 11 inches

9 cm + 2.8 cm = 11.8
den301095 [7]
It depends on the precision you want.

Considering the data you've given, if you want the result in cm, the numbers should be rounded to 9 and 3, thus giving a total of 12, with two significant numbers.

But taking into account the precision you've reported, looks like the decimals do matter, and in that case, the numbers should be rounded to 9.0 and 2.8, giving a total of 11.8, thus, three significative figures.
