Make a common denominator.

5/12 and 2/5 both have a common denominator of 60.

So:
5/12 = 25/60
2/5 = 24/60

25/60 + 24/60 = 49/60

There are 49/60 books in the shipment that contain POETRY and BIOGRAPHIES.

But we’re not done yet!

60/60 - 49/60 = 11/60

11/60 of the books contain mysteries.

Please give brainliest if you can!

Hope this helps!! :)

What is the answer to 3x+x/4=x+3/4
erica [24]

Answer:x = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + x/4 = x + 3/4

Subtract x from each side

2x + x/4 = 3/4

Times each side by 4

The 4 beneath the x cancels out

3/4 x 4 = 3

2x + x = 3

3x = 3

Divide each side by 3

x = 1
