World War I developed into a global war for a number of reasons. First, the system of alliances quickly brought other nations into the war. This quickly led to a war between the two alliance systems. But Italy switched sides and entered the war on the side of the Triple Entente in 1915.

He went to Medina, this event is known as the <em>hijra </em>and he embarked on said journey in the year 622. Which on the Muslim calendar, is year 1. However, what is of particular interest is that the city is also referred to as Yathrib and "Medina" means "The city" when translated to English.
