In Bernard Malamud´s "A summer´s reading", George likes the fact that his neighbors are beginning to threat him differently because they believe he is spending his time reading. It is as is their new found appraisal of him boosts his confidence. No longer is he just a twenty years old man who lives with his father a sister above a butcher´s shop but rather he has the potential to be somebody. George and the guys on the store did not recognize each other because they always had an impression of George as a shy and silent guy that do not believe himself; however, after George´s discovery, finally realize he was a man "different", sure about himself and his capacity.

How does the author support his reasoning in the modest proposal?
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:The author argues, by hard-edged economic reasoning as well as from a self-righteous moral stance, for a way to turn this problem into its own solution. His proposal, in effect, is to fatten up these undernourished children and feed them to Ireland's rich land-owners.

PLEASE HELP "The Last Judgement"
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

The answer is "anxious"

Explanation:

The Western prophetic religions (i.e. Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) created ideas of the Last Judgment that are wealthy in symbolism. Zoroastrianism, established by the Iranian prophet Zoroaster, instructs that after death the spirit hangs tight for three evenings by the grave and on the fourth day goes to the Bridge of the Requiter, where his deeds are gauged. In the event that the great exceed the terrible, regardless of whether just somewhat, the spirit can cross the extension to paradise; if the awful deeds exceed the great, the bridge turns out to be excessively thin for the spirit to cross, and it dives into the cold and dull pit of hell fire.
