Answer: These lines suggest that the Bushman resents the white man for his disrespectful treatment of others.

Explanation: In the poem "Song of the Wild Bushman" written by Thomas Pringle, the poet presents the way in which the Bushman views the white man. While the Bushman sees himself as the most important man of the Desert Land, he sees the white man as someone who tends to dominate people and places that do not belong to him and exercises his power without showing respect for others. In that way, the speaker feels aggrieved at the white man. Moreover, he refers to the white man as "the Christian".

Answer: D) He resents the white man for his disrespectful treatment of others.

Explanation: In this lines from the poem, the speaker expresses his disgust to the white man by making very clear that he won't leave the land he is in (where he is the Lord, because there is no one to whom he must obey), he says that he isn't going to leave his land to be beneath the power of the white man, who according to him, is very disrespectful (it is expressed with the phrase "... and kennel with his hounds").

Answer: Remote studying is like distance studying. It is for when you cannot meet in a classroom, therefore, you’d do it online. Example: zoom. It’s advantages would be a safer environment. Due to the pandemic, it stops social interaction with others, and helps others not contain a virus. It also helps with self discipline. It encourages you to be more responsible, and do things on your own without having others to tell you to do so. Lastly, it helps you save time. Time is special, and should be used wisely. By going to these online classes, it helps with you having a decent time schedule that you personally connect with. Now as for the disadvantages, it may result in procrastination or laziness. If you do not have the determination, then you would not do well. Remote learning also leaves you with not much social interaction due to it being online. You could lose some communicative skills in the making. Hopefully this helped!

The correct answer is: “information on weather conditions in Louisiana and the Caribbean”. Taken from the book “Sugar Changed the World: A Story of Magic, Spice, Slavery, Freedom, and Science” by Marc Aronson and Marina Budhos (2010), the details included about the weather conditions in Louisiana and the Caribbean are used to support the claim that “sugar was a killer”. As the text tells, sugar was a killer because of the cold snaps in Louisiana. The authors narrate the details that explain the claim (sugar was a killer). For instance, they narrate that the slaves needed to harvest the cane in perfect rhythm with the grinding mills, and that the entire crop had to be cut down between mid-October and December, and that people needed to work faster than the weather and to keep pace with machines.
