Divergent Boundary:

A divergent boundary is a linear feature that includes two tectonic plates moving <em>away </em>from each other. When plates separate, it allows molten lava to seep through and spill over, creating new crust where the previous tectonic plates existed. Divergent boundaries are mostly found in the ocean floors.
