Andrews [41]

Answer:

The answer is below

Explanation:

The Crimean war occurred between 1853 to 1856. During this period, the following characteristics are associated with Russia:

1. Serfs from the majority of the population: about 60 million Russian people were serfs at the time. They form a large part of the population.

2. Outdated Military: Aside from many military personals of Russi being serfs, they also lack the latest military device at that time to fight the war

3. Agricultural economy: being a feudal nation, Russian rely heavily on the Agricultural economy, and that is the reason they have so many serfs.

4. Absolute Monarchy: during this period, Russia was running an absolute monarchy under Tsars

Western Europe:

1. Modern Military: during this period, western Europe has modern military devices, including weapons and strategies.

2. No serfs: western Europe had dropped the feudal system a long way before the Crimean war

3. Industrial economy: during this period, western Europe has to experience the industrial revolution. Hence, their economy is based on industrial activities and no longer on agriculture.

4. Constitutional monarchy: during this period, western Europe, like Britain, operates a constitutional monarchy where is still King or Queen, and Parliament can checkmate the Monarch.

Before it became a U.S. state, eastern Oklahoma was set-aside for what?
KatRina [158]

D. As "Indian Territory" for thousands of Native Americans displaced from the southeastern United States.

Explanation:

Most of Oklahoma was set-aside as "Indian Territory", as the United States government wanted to move the Native Americans from their tribal lands in order to expand.

The Indian Removal Act was passed in 1830, which meant the Native Americans had to move from their homes and go to the territory that was for them in Oklahoma. They obviously did not want to go, but many knew that they would not stand a chance against the United States government.

Years later, some of the Cherokee Natives were still there and were not moving, this caused the United States military to get involved and had to force them out. Native Americans were walked at gunpoint all the way to Oklahoma, this walk is known as the Trail of Tears. Thousands of Natives died of diseases, starvation, and weather conditions during this walk.
