Facilitated diffusion is the type of transport that occurs when membrane proteins bind to a molecule on one side of the cell membrane and then releases it on another side. An integral membrane protein provides continuous protein lined pathway through bilayer. There are two classes of proteins transport membrane one which carries specific molecules across and two is channel proteins which form narrow pore where ions can pass.

Channel proteins also carry out passive transport where ions level spontaneously down their gradients membranes which transport proteins are important pharmacologically with two reasons. One is some drugs exploit endogenous membrane transport process to enter or exit cells. Two membrane transport proteins are major drug targets.

Facilitated diffusion or facilitated transport is also known as passive-mediated transport is the movement of molecules or ions across a biological membrane through transmembrane integral proteins. This process does not require chemical energy from ATP as such molecules and ions use the movement of gradient concentration for diffusion.

Which process represents cellular division in body cells?
poizon [28]
There are two types of cell division: mitosis and meiosis. Most of the time when people refer to “cell division,” they mean mitosis, the process of making new body cells. Meiosis is the type of cell division that creates egg and sperm cells. Mitosis is a fundamental process for life.

thinking about how gene expression affect cellular differentiation , explain why a rabbit looks so much different as an adult co
Kaylis [27]

Ans.

Cell differentiation is defined as a process, by which less specialized cells, such as embryonic cells become more specialized. The process of cell differentiation is regulated by gene expression. Gene expression involves a specific group of genes that are turned on (expressed) or turn off (repressed) and dictates a cell's function.

A fertilized egg represents a single, non-specialized cell that develops into a complex, multicellular organism by cell differentiation. Thus, a adult rabbit looks so much different as compared to a single fertilized cell or zygote, due to cell differentiation, which is regulated by gene expression.
