Mice21 [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

These two sonnets may indeed be addressed to the "dark lady" of his sonnet, and yes she seems to be his lover, However, 130 is much more complimentary and focuses on the mistress' beauty. The use of the similes to compare her various physical features to some natural occurrences helps us to understand how rare he thinks their love is because she is so beautiful. On the other hand, 138 is somewhat negative and uses the word "lie" to do what shakespeare does best, play on words (i.e the use of pun). She lies to him and he knows it, but he listens anyway and ultimately they "lie" together.

Write two to three paragraphs to address the prompt. Use specific information from the text to support your statements.

well a start would  be to show what Douglass's perspective of slavery was. for example, he thought it was wrong and unfair that a lot of them didn't know when they where born or whernt treated like other regular people. and as for captain canot, he thought slavery was a good thing and he supported it. then build off that with info from the book, or in my case for captain canot, i have to find his story in my online session since im in k12. but if u need anything else, u can ask me. plus i have the same exact thing that is due today. good luck

In "The Fly". what change does the poet mark by starting a new stanza at line 5?
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

William Blake creates a new stanza at line 5 in order to mark the presentation of a new idea.

Explanation:

In lines 1-4, William Blake describes what a fly is like and how he tends to respond to one. In lines 5-8, William Blake begins to question the differences between a man and a fly, thereby presenting a new idea and warranting the creation of a new stanza.

When you anticipate a favorable response, ----------- approach becomes handy <br> Direct or Indirect
antiseptic1488 [7]
The answer is “direct” because Indirect approaches are best used when your audience may be displeased about or may resist what you have to say, so it couldn’t be indirect.
