The correct option is (A). Russia and Britain sent troops to protect their interests there.

Further Explanation:

In 1908, after years of failure and difficult conditions, geologist George Bernard Reynolds discovered oil in “Persia”. After a year, an ‘oil company’ in the U.K named “Burmah Oil” established a subsidiary company to produce oil in Persia, namely “The Anglo-Persian Oil Company” (APOC).

The Royal Navy of Britain was under the “leadership” of Winston Churchill. He wanted to shift the fuel source from ‘coal’ to ‘oil’. The Navy was one of the main reasons behind the success of the company because of its de facto ‘hidden power’ and it became the major customer of the company.

During the historical period, Persia was ruled by the Russian Empire and he was also interested in establishing oil companies. The situation gave rise to conflict between Britain and Russia who sent their ‘troops’ to protect the ‘territory’ which divided the ‘Persian Empire’ into different ‘zones’.

The correct answer is A. Russia and Britain sent troops to protect their interest there

Explanation:

In the beginning of the twentieth century around 1908 it was found there was a large oil field in Persia which is now known as modern Iran. Knowing the economic advantage this field represented companies from Great Britain became immediately interested in this new discovery, because of this, companies of both countries negotiated a concession with the king of Persia to extract the oil. This was the case of the British company Anglo-Persian Oil Company which take advantage of the situation and was the first company in extracting oil from the zone.

In the case of Russia, during this historical period, the Russian Empire was the one that ruled Persia and therefore was equally interested in extracting the oil. This situation began a struggle between Russian and Britan that sent their troops to try to protect the territory where the oil was and divided the Persian Empire into different zones. Thus, one of the immediate effects of the discovery of oil in Persia (Iran) was that "Russia and Britain sent troops to protect their interests there" considering Britan had a concession with the king of Persia and Russia had power over the zone.

What is the contour interval ??
professor190 [17]

Answer:

The contour interval is 15 meters.

Explanation:

A is not correct because if that was the case we would have had much more contour lines, and if the starting point is 15 meters then 5 contour intervals up would have been an elevation of 40 meters, not 90.

B is not correct because is that was the case we wouldn't have had a contour line of 15 meters, as all contour lines would have been tens, like 10, 20, 30, etc.

C is correct because the elevation distance between the contour line of 15 meters and one of 90 meters is 75 meters, and if we divided that by five (the number of contour lines from one to another marking) we get a value of 15 meters.

D is not correct because just as with the interval of 10, there wouldn't have been a contour line 15, but they would have been 20, 40, 60, etc.
