The intense summer heat and the trees filled with parrots are clues that the story is taking place in India. Also, Ravi’s mother wears a sari, a traditional Indian garment. The reader can guess that the Indian author is perhaps drawing on childhood memories.

Most of the story, however, touches on themes and feelings that are not specific to one culture. All children can relate to the idea of not wanting to be bullied by another child, just as Ravi wants to avoid the wrath of Raghu. Ravi’s desire to triumph in the game as well as his sense of insignificance at the end, are universal feelings and emotions:

He would not follow them, he would not be included in this funeral game. He had wanted victory and triumph—not a funeral. But he had been forgotten, left out, and he would not join them now. The ignominy of being forgotten—how could he face it? He felt his heart go heavy and ache inside him unbearably. He lay down full length on the damp grass, crushing his face into it, no longer crying, silenced by a terrible sense of his insignificance.

The entire story of "Games of Twilight" is about being irrelevant to the society around you and the world in general. The protagonist, Ravi, is playing with other kids, but is afraid and starts hiding until the nighttime. However, by the time he joins the kids and declares he has won the game, they have already forgotten about him. He becomes depressed and realizes that he is completely insignificant and starts accepting that fact in the end.

How do the expectations of your family contribute to or restrict your freedom? Use support from the text and use your own experi
Leno4ka [110]

During the teenage years, children’s need for responsibility and autonomy gets stronger – it’s an important part of their path to young adulthood. To become capable adults, teenagers need to learn to make good decisions on their own.

The process of helping children take responsibility and make decisions is a key task for parents. You have an important role in training and supporting your child to be ready for more responsibility. This means you need to plan when and in what areas to let your child start making decisions.

How quickly you hand over responsibility to your child is up to you. It depends on things like your own comfort level, your family and cultural traditions, and your child’s maturity.

Ideally, you and your child should both feel comfortable with the shift of responsibility and the pace of change. Too much or too soon might leave you both feeling overwhelmed. Too little or too slow might end up with your child feeling impatient or rebellious.

FADE IN: INTERIOR COURTHOUSE. We are in a small room used for prisoner-lawyer interviews. A guard sits at a desk behind STEVE.
Stella [2.4K]

Let me ascertain you understand what’s going on. Both you and this King character are on tribulation for felony murder. Felony murder is as earnest as it gets. Sandra Petrocelli is the prosecutor, and she’s good. They’re pushing for the death penalty, which is authentically lamentable. The jury might cerebrate they’re doing you an astronomically immense favor by giving you life in confinement. So you’d better take this tribulation very, very earnestly. When you’re in court, you sit there and you fixate. You let the jury ken that you cerebrate the case is as solemn as they do. You don’t turn and wave to any of your friends. It’s all right to acknowledge your mother.

Ugo [173]

What literary devices are present in the poem "Love Comes Quietly" by Robert Creeley? Give at least two examples.

Lo que siente el autor en su breve poema <u>""Love Comes Quietly" </u>es sorprendente.

No parece que se acerque al <u>autodesprecio o al pánico</u>, ni a la ira hacia uno mismo o hacia los demás.
