Benefits and downsides of open and closed questions

Explanation:

Closed questions do not leave much space to imagination as they are generally multiple-choice and the answer has already been given. On the one hand, they are quicker and more immediate to answer, however they do not leave much space to personal interpretation. Open questions generally require a more elaborate and longer answer. It takes more time, but such questions allow to fully express a concept and to show the knowledge in depth.
