Answer:Both

Explanation:

Flower is a shoot of limited growth, with much reduced internodes bearing sterile appendages like petals, sepals and fertile sporophylls(stamens and pistils)

They are grouped into

a)Monocot (b)Dicot

Monocot Flowers:These are Flowers with no secondary growth and parallel leaf vein. Examples of Monocot flowers are Monkey Orchid (Orchis simia), Spider Lily(Crinum asiaticum), Anthurium (Anthurium sp.)

Characteristics of Monocot Flowers:

a)Perianth not distinctly coloured

b)Petals or Tepals which are distinctly coloured

c) 3 or multiples of 3 petals or Tepals

d)No secondary growth

Dicot Flowers:A type of flowering characterized by it's two cotyledons,or pentamerous flowers, which undergo secondary growth. Examples of Dicot flowers include,Rose, Sunflower, Daisy flower.

Characteristics of Dicot flowers:

a)4-5 multiples of petals or Sepals

b)They have Petals and sepals which are distinctly coloured

c)They have Perianth with two whorls distinctly.

d)They undergo secondary growth

Answer:

A flower can either be classified as a monocot or a dicot depending on the number of petals present on the flower.

Explanation:

- Monocot also known as monocotyledon are characterized by the presence of one sees leaf(cotyledon) inside the embryo

The seed leaf is often thin because the endosperm which is required to feed the young plant is not found inside the seed leaf. In monocot flower a the number of petals is 3 or a multiple of 3. Examples of monocot flowers include; Asparagales, Wedges, Bromeliads, Poles.

- Dicots also known as dicotyledons are flowering plants that have two seed leaf. In a dicot flower the number of petals is 4 or 5 or a multiple of 4 or 5. Examples of dicot flowers include; Roses, Magnolas, Sunflower, Geranium.

Explain why you selected the location recorded in Panel 1 as the ideal incubation site for culturing microbes?
12345 [234]

Answer:

Due to optimum environment for microbes.

Explanation:

I selected Panel 1 as the ideal incubation site for culturing microbes because the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and nutrients medium etc are optimum. Microbes need a specific environmental conditions for its growth and development. If the environmental conditions are not suitable so it adversely affected the growth and development of microbes.

Researchers are studying the last two phases of mitosis, anaphase and telophase, in actively dividing cancer cells. Different fl
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer: Telophase

Explanation:

Mitosis is a process of division of the nucleus, which consists of the equal sharing of genetic material (DNA). This type of division occurs in somatic cells and the next step after mitosis is the division of the cytoplasm (cytokinesis), to form two genetically identical daughter cells.

First, it is necessary for the genetic material to be duplicated, so that each newly created cell receives the correct number of chromosomes (structure smade up of DNA). To separate these chromosomes, during anaphase, the chromosomes are anchored to the spindle microtubules and aligned at the metaphase plate (the center of the cell). The sister chromatids (two copies of a chromosome) are separated by the microtubules anchored to their kinetochores as they disassemble, heading toward the respective centrosomes (an organelle in which microtubules grow). Then, the microtubules pushing the centrosomes (and the set of chromosomes associated with them) toward opposite ends of the cell. Since it is necessary for the chromosomes to go to the poles of the cell, new cells are formed. So in this step, it is necessary that the nuclear envelope is not present (otherwise, the nucleus could not divide).

During telophase, microtubules not attached to kinetochores continue to elongate, further stretching the cell. The sister chromosomes are each associated with one of the poles, and as the division of the nucleus is completed, the nuclear envelope reforms around both chromosome sets, using fragments of the nuclear envelope of the original cell. The chromosomes are decondensed back into chromatin and only the cytokineses remain.

The fluorophore labels proteins that are part of the nuclear membrane and as telophase forms back, these proteins are expressed more. So, since the proteins of the nuclear envolope are labeled with a green fluoroforum, the green fluorescence would be most intense during telophase. Therefore there will be more intensity of green color compared to anaphase where the nuclear membrane is disintegrated.
