Chavez's ultimate goal was "to overthrow a farm labor system in this nation which treats farm workers as if they were not important human beings.1962, he founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA), which would form the backbone of his labor campaigns. Chavez wanted the dignity and rights of farm workers to be respected.

DuringnMexican revolution in 1910 many mexicans scaped to US in order to find a better life, some people got a work visa with a program established in 1920, but many work illegally and suffered a lot of discrimination and abuse of their rights.

César Chávez's goal was to overthrow the labor system which treated people as if they were not important, so she demanded to be treated like humans not like slaves or animals.

In his own words he said: "You must become a servant of the people. When you do, you can demand their commitment in return." He hinted that you should serve people and when you serve them you can ask the same.

His leadership was based in non-violence, personal sacrifice and work ethic.
