The League of Nations was established after WW1 to keep peace. There is currently a “United Nations” there goal is to promote peace and prevent war through diplomacy, just as the League of Nations.

Although in the industrial revolution they needed all the help they could get in the factories that were making all these new products to supply all these new people rushing into towns with more products to sale and trade.
