Transport long ago was very slow and could take weeks to get places sometimes but transport today we can get places a whole lot faster

"Thit mé i laige" is one way of saying it! "Bhí mé gan aithne gan urlabhra" is a nice way of saying I was unconcious but i suppose it's not necessarily the same thing!!
