There are three separate routes by which the Supreme Court can handle a case that has been appealed to it.

  • The first route is a case under the Court's original jurisdiction which means that the Supreme Court hears the case directly, without an intermediate stage.
  • The second way for a case to reach the Supreme Court is on appeal a circuit court through a petition for a writ of certiorari which informs a request for review. However, the Supreme Court has discretion to decide which cases it will hear or not.
  • The third way that a case can reach the Supreme Court is through an appeal from a State Supreme Court, since each state has its own supreme court, which is the final authority regarding the state law.

How did economic imperialism lead to India’s becoming a British colony
dolphi86 [110]
The British had an economic interest in India as far back as the 1600s. They wanted India's raw materials and large market of buyers. British restricted Indian industries like the textile industry to benefit their own.

WILL GET BRAINLIEST IN RUSH PLEASE HELP
Lilit [14]

Wassup brotha/sista,

The 15th Amendment, granting African-American men the right to vote, was adopted into the U.S. Constitution in 1870. Despite the amendment, by the late 1870s discriminatory practices were used to prevent African Americans from exercising their right to vote, especially in the South. It wasn’t until the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that legal barriers were outlawed at the state and local levels if they denied blacks their right to vote under the 15th Amendment.

I got you.
