The Taft-Hartley Act, also known as Labor Management Relations Act of 1947, intended to curb the laws that gave too much power to union leaders.
It was created in order to restrict the powers these leaders had because things were getting out of control. President Harry Truman tried to veto this act but in the end Senator Taft and Representative Hartley managed to get this act through.

MrMuchimi

Answer:

A. They made it easier for ranchers to ship their meat to eastern

cities.

Explanation:

After the Civil War beef was in very high demand and that lead to the boom of the cattle business. This combined with the railroads meant that it was very easy for the ranchers to transport their meat to other cities. Before the railroads, it was impossible to ship meat a great distance especially since you needed half a year to get from California to new York.

shusha [124]

Answer:

A. Political and Economic Growth in the Late 1800s

Explanation:

One reason the U.S. was able to become a world power was because of its political and economic growth in the late 1800s. During this time, the economy in the U.S. became stronger and more industrial. More people worked in factories and the U.S. produced more manufactured goods. Having a strong economy was very important because it meant the U.S. did not have to worry about its economy while it expanded its influence overseas.
