Answer:

Muslims started out with one man, and that man’s name was Muhammad. He brought a message about God, and that message started a new religion called Islam. Muhammad spent his life spreading the message of Islam, then he began to attract people to Islam, but he died in 632. When he died, the muslims were unsure about what to do, so they came to Abu Bakr. He said, “People, I have been chosen by you as your leader, though I am no better then you. If I do well, give me support. If I do wrong, set me right!” Then, Abu Bakr attempted to extend the Muslim’s influence even further, however Abu Bakr’s reign soon ended. He was at the age of 60 when became caliph, however he died two years later. During his time as a caliph, Abu Bakr extended Islam beyond the Arabian Peninsula. The armies of the caliphs pressed north all the way to the Caspian Sea. They rode east through pushing as far as the Indus River. They triumphed in Egypt and gazed in wonder at the mighty pyramids. They spread across North Africa and the Iberian Peninsula. Islam started in the seventh century as a message proclaimed by one man, Muhammad. by the eighth century, a mere one hundred years after his death, it had become much more. Through conquest and trade, it had become a thriving religion and a mighty empire.

Muslim traders followed troops through Mediterranean lands. The Islamic Empire lay at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia Muslim caliphs and merchants held a commanding position over traffic between East and West. Muslim traders carried their religion with them. They told people they met about Islam, urging the worshiping of Allah and adherence to decided to become Muslim, too. By trade it helped Islam get bigger

Which of the following policies contradicts President Nixon’s desire to limit federal influence in the states?
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

As President, Nixon was only as conservative as he could be and only as liberal as he had to be. He took credit for the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency while privately noting that if he had not taken this liberal step, the Democratic Congress would have forced more liberal environmental legislation on him. This was a President who could philosophically oppose wage and price controls and privately express the conviction that they would not work, while still implementing them for election-year effect. Still his tactical flexibility should not obscure his steadiness of political purpose. He meant to move the country to the right, and he did.

In what ways did these leadership qualities help president Roosevelt be an effective leader
vredina [299]

Answer:

Education and Knowledge, Goal Setting, Communication, and Self Confidence.

Educating and Knowledge: It is important to be knowledgeable about the issues that are affecting your country. If Roosevelt was oblivious and not informed on any of the issues affecting the U.S. decisions made by him would have been very questionable because he was not educated on the topic.

Goal Setting: Like any good leader you need to have a goal. Why should anyone vote you as president if you do not even have a goal during your run. You most likely would not be elected if you stated that you dont have any goals.

Self-Confidence: You need to have self confidence so that you are not easily redirected and often made to change your mind. You need to be confident in what you are doing and own up to it if you make a mistake. If you don't have any confidence any one can easily change your decision and therefore run the country for you.
