Answer:

Douglas's tone is passionate enough to narrates events as evidence. Also, that is achieved with a serious and vehement tone.

Some times irony is used, but not in abuse matter. At he end, we can see a eloquent narrative, using some rhetorical figures according to the event that is being developed.

What are capital gains on an investment?
umka21 [38]
<span>Capital gains are the money that an investor earns by buying and selling a stock. Specifically, it is the gain (or loss) that the investor makes by selling the stock. Capital gains can be calculated by subtracting purchase price from the selling price of the stock. An example of this would be if Bob buys a stock for $20 and then a year later sells the stock for $30. His capital gains would be $10 (selling price minus purchase price).</span>

Click-Clack the Rattlebag
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

D. It describes a change in the atmosphere.

Explanation:

Neil Gaiman's short story "Click-Clack the Rattlebag" revolves around a horror story told by a  young boy to his sister's boy friend. Through the boy friend who is the narrator of the story, we can understand the theme of the story of how things are not how they originally seem to be.

In the given line from the story, the narrator talks about how the atmosphere changed from the small kitchen to the hallway. While the kitchen was <em>"warm and cosy"</em>, the hallway was much more<em> "chilly and draughty and dark"</em>. This, added with the scary story-telling, develops the suspense in the story.

Thus, the correct answer is option D.
