The civil War was a fought by 2 sides, the Confederacy and the Union. At the time, Abraham Lincoln was the President, and tried to reunite the US. When this failed, he declared war to bring the succeeded states back. After many brutal battles, the Confederate states lost, and were brought back to the Union. When the war ended, so did slavery. He passed the Emancipation Proclamation, banning slavery all over the US. In doing so, John Wilkes Booth assassinated him while he was watching a play. He was the 16th president, and the war lasted from 1861-1865. There you go. Be generous and give brainliest.

Why is the commission government useful in city planning? a. since most planning is done as an after thought commissions would f
Elenna [48]

The correct answer is C.

City Commission Government is a form of local government in the United States. The voters select a small commission, typically of five or seven members, who constitute the legislative and executive body of the city. This body enacts local ordinances and administer them.

The commissioners are responsible to the voters. In order to be elected, a commissioner has to present a plan or a vision of goals to be achieved if elected. A candidate may present city planning strategies which appeal to a large number of people. In that case, the commissioner would probably get elected and his city planning initiatives would reflect the ideas of people who voted for him.
