Hypertonic Solution.

Explanation:

If you place an animal or a plant cell in a hypertonic solution, the cell shrinks, because it loses water through osmosis ( water moves from a higher concentration inside the cell to a lower concentration outside ).

If said animal cell was instead placed in a hypotonic solution it would have the opposite reaction and burst instead of shrink.
