3.1 Letter from Birmingham Jail Scavenger Hunt Quiz

English
1 answer:
skelet666 [1.2K]3 years ago
7 0

The Letter from Birmingham Jail was an open letter written by Martin Luther King Jr. in 1963 where he talks about the nonviolent resistance to racism and emphasizes that people should work for justice and equality to come instead pleasantly wait for it. He wrote the words "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere".

Taking this in consideration the correct answer is Separate.

Passenger transportation was required to provide equal but separated accommodations for white and colored races through separate cars or designated areas.

The other options are not correct because unequal is the opposite to the main idea of the sentence and similar is a synonym of equal.

Describe your worst presentation. What would you have done differently in order for it to have turned out better?
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

Explanation:

My worst presentation was probably a couple of years ago before I got over my fear of public speaking. It was in History class and it was a political speech about a topic of our choosing. I chose healthcare i think and wrote a good speech and everything. Once it was my turn to present (in front of the entire class), I had a panic attack, ran into the bathroom and cried until the nurse came and took me to the nurses room. I spent so long just crying, because after the panic passed, i realised I was going to fail if i didn't do the presentation and I really didn't want to fail. Over the next week I spent time with my history teacher who slowly helped me practice, starting with presenting in front of a mirror in an empty bathroom, then in front of an empty classroom, then in front of him and the finally in front of the entire class. It went fine and I got an A! I just wished I'd have practiced earlier to avoid all this embarrassment.

sergij07 [2.7K]

Become is a example of a "linking verb." A linking verb is a verb that describes a object while connecting it to another noun or adjective. A example of a linking verb would be something like: The eggs smells rotten, or Jared has become a werewolf.

Hope this helps.
