Differences in temperature, seas or oceans, mountains and valleys, Coriolis effect are the factors that might interrupt the wind blowing in a straight line forever

Explanation:

The wind is nothing but the gases flow on a mass scale. In the Earth's surface, the wind is known for the motion of air in bulk amount.

Each region on the earth has different wind speeds in different directions. Thus the direction and speed of the wind can be changed based on several factors.

They are temperature, mountains, and valleys, seas or oceans, and Coriolis effect( earth's rotation). These factors change the pressure in the air that eventually changes the direction of the air.

continental polar (cP) continental arctic (cA) continental tropical (cT) maritime polar (mP) maritime tropical (mT) a. Air
Basile [38]

Answer: C.

Air masses that are hot and dry, and are responsible for heatwaves of summer in the western half of the United States.

Explanation: Air masses have fairly uniform temperature and moisture content in the horizontal direction (but not uniform in vertical). Air masses are characterized by their temperature and humidity properties. The properties of air masses are determined by the underlying surface properties where they originate.

Air that stands over the Caribbean Sea, for example, becomes a warm, humid maritime tropical air mass, while air that lies in the Arctic regions of northern Canada takes on the cold and dry characteristics of its surroundings and becomes a continental polar air mass.
