The Fifteenth Amendment was the initial phase in giving full voting rights to African Americans. Notwithstanding, Jim Crow laws made more confinements to these rights. With the entry of the Voting Rights Act, the Fifteenth Amendment was authorized as voting confinements were evacuated.

The Fifteenth Amendment was the initial move in awarding complete voting rights to African Americans. But, Jim Crow laws generated more constraints on these rights. With the passage of the Voting Rights Act, the Fifteenth Amendment was implemented as voting constraints were lifted.

The Fifteenth Amendment:

The Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution forbids the central and state jurisdictions from rejecting a voter the right to vote based on that citizen's "race, color, or former position of subjection".

Answer: D. In 2005, It was estimated that 2500 public schools and 57 colleges or universities in the U.S. had a Native American logo,  mascot, or nickname.

Explanation:

For decades sports teams in the US including at public high schools and colleges have used Native American likeness in their logos, mascots and/or nicknames.

Native American Civil rights movements however, criticize this as they say that it propagates negative stereotypes against Native Americans and as such have started lobbying these organizations which were estimated to be 2,500  public schools and 57 colleges in 2005, to remove Native American likeness from their logos, mascots and otherwise.

Do you think Donahue supports devolution or not
kirza4 [7]
No, I do not think Donahue supports devolution. Devolution is defined as the transfer or delegation of power to a lower level, especially by central government to local or regional administration. Donahue believes the state governments nowadays have way too much power in our society and the power of our federal government is declining.

What do you see as the most significant difference between the culture and society of white European-Americans and those of Nati
Lapatulllka [165]

The Native Americans lived a life that was a complete opposite from the way that the Euroeans were accustomed to.

They believed that the land was shared by everyone and not one person could own it.

The Native Americans also had a polytheistic religion which completely went agains the beliefs of the colonists.

Colonists viewed the Native Americans as savages and barbarians because their ways of living were different. The Native Americans believed that man is ruled by respect and reverence for nature and that nature is an all and must be respected.

Upon arrival to the new world, the European Americans adhered to a governmental monarchy, yet the Native Americans geld to a tribal form of government. These structures were ingrained into each society so that the very practice was one of deep cultural practice.

The Europeans believe in an absolute commitment to the crown of England.

However, the native americans devoted themselves to ecah and another and had no central ruler. Nonetheless, they did have many chiefs among the tribal chiefdoms that regulated relations among the tribal members.

This diferences betwen cultures causes frequent clashes that often led to destruction of land and peole.

Summarizing: The most important differences were:

  • The form of government.
  • The way in which society was structured.
  • They religious beliefs.
  • They economy system.
