Answer:

The reason why Rome was considered, and still is considered, to be the most advanced civilization of Earth when it was at its peak, is, that their systems of government, military control, economic, transportation, sanitation, among others, were the most developed in the world and they helped Rome maintain power over their provinces for centuries.

Explanation:

Rome has been acknowledged by history as probably the most powerful, advanced, and important empire in the world. The reason for this is, their influence, systems, and power, extended throughout most of the known continents, with the exception of the Americas and Australia. This was achieved through the advanced political and military power, as well as the advanced system of government that the Romans extended throughout their vast holdings and provinces. It was these systems which ensured that while Rome retained power and domination, their provinces would still thrive and be loyal to the Empire. For centuries, this held true, and Rome not only became the center of the world in ancient times, but socially, economically, politically and even linguistically, it became the most influentual power of all. THis was achieved because, aside from military power, Rome connected the world through a really advanced system of government, a system of transportation, communication and sanitation that allowed them to maintain their empire for a very long time.
