The solution reached by the Great Compromise was that:
1) The number of representatives from a state in the House of Representatives would be based on a states population.
2) Each state would have two Senators regardless of the states population.
Both elements of this agreement deal with the structure of Congress. Congress consists of the legislative branch of our federal government and plays an important role, as their main job is to develop laws for the entire country to follow. In this case, both states with small populations and large populations feel satisfied with the structure of Congress after the Great Compromise was passed.
According to John B. Gordon, a Southern point of view regarding the power of states under the <span>Constitution was that state sovereignty was more important than federal power. </span>
The answer would be B. The more slaves that survive, the more profit that the slave traders made. In this case, most slave traders were urgently wanting large amounts of profit. So, the traders would do as much as it took to keep as many as they could alive throughout the voyage.
When slaves die, the trader loses profit.
Pickett's charge
This was an infantry assault ordered by confederate general Lee against union General Maj. Gen. George G. Meade's Union positions on July 3, 1863, which was the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg.The battle resulted to a major victory for the union soldiers and after the battle,the confederate had lost both politically and militarily.
Padraic Colum's text shows us a different angle of Jason and the Argonauts myth. Almost as if in an attempt to complement the original mythical tale, he gives an extra 'life', an individualization to the characters that brings us closer to them. He brilliantly does so by narrating events that would have occurred between the 5th and 6th paragraphs of the original myth text, when Jason would return to his ship Argo to meet his comrades after he learns (and agrees) to the tasks proposed by King Aietes intended to prevent him from getting the golden fleece, and before he seeks Medea's help in accomplishing those tasks.
