Tatami mats are used as a floor covering in Japan. one possible layout uses four identical rectangular mats and one square mat.
Basile [38]
So by definition, area is equal to the length (x) times the width (y). The area of the square mat is = x × y, or xy
If the area of the rectangular mat is twice that of the square mat, the area of the rectangular mat would have to be = 2 × x × y
This can be written as 2x × y, making the length of the rectangular mat twice that of the square mat's length, and the width the same as the square mat's width.

You are asked to draw a triangle with side lengths of 3 inches, 4 inches, and 1 inch. How many triangles like this can you draw?
marishachu [46]
I think you can draw two of them.

As you walk around the triangle in the clockwise direction,
you can run into the sides in the order of

                 3  ==>  4  ==>  1

or in the order of

                 3  ==>  1  ==>  4 .

Those are mirror images of each other. So they're not congruent,
and I think they're considered different triangles.

Anettt [7]

Answer:

The statement is True!

Step-by-step explanation:

Clare paid full price for an item.

Let Price of the item = x

Han bought the same item for 80% of the full price.

Han bought it for 0.8x

Clare said, I cants believe I paid 125% of what you paid, Han!

The above statement is True if;

125% of 0.8x = x

1.25   *  0.8x = x

x =x

The statement is True!
