It is more appropriate to discuss body fat management rather than weight management because excess body fat is associated with health problems like high-blood pressure, stroke and heart diseases. In addition, not all overweight has excess body fat as seen in most athletes who have abundant muscles that contribute to its weight.
Therefore, it makes more sense to discuss body fat management to improve sense of well-being and reduce the risk of many diseases associated with excess body fat.
