Answer:

The half life of a first order reaction is dependent on the initial concentration of reactant. (And. B)

Explanation:

Half-life: It is depends on the order of reaction, different forms for different reaction orders. It can be determined with time, rate constant of the reaction & initial concentration. The time when the concentration of the reactant is decreased to one half of the initial concentration is called half-life of a reaction.

First order reaction: The half-life of the first order reaction is independent of the initial concentration, is a constant.

Can carbon atoms joined together to form chains or rings
Marysya12 [62]
Because each carbon is identical, they all have four valence electrons, so they can easily bond with other carbon atoms to form long chains or rings. (Hoping that helps)

The liver acts to keep blood glucose at a relatively constant level. It takes up glucose from the blood when levels are too high
postnew [5]
Yes, these actions are an example of homeostasis. To fully understand this question you need to know the basic concept of homeostasis. Homeostasis is the body's regulation. What do I mean by that? It's simple, when you have a fever your body's temperature can skyrocket to 100 or more, when you start to sweat or get the chills that's your body's way to cool you down and fight the infection. Another example; when you do any physical activity, you sweat from it depending on the intensity. If you didn't sweat you would probably overheat and that would lead to other complications. Basically when you do exercise you sweat because your body is warm and that's the homeostasis mechanism that helps cool down your body bring it to it's normal temperature. So in end answering your question in more detail by the liver regulating the body by taking glucose in when levels are too high or adding glucose in when levels are too low is an example of homeostasis because the body is regulating itself to come back to it's normal healthy function state.

Hope this helped :)

The fact that all seven of the pea plant traits studied by Mendel obeyed the principle of independent assortment most probably i
Feliz [49]

Answer:

All of the genes controlling the traits behaved as if they were located on different chromosomes.

Explanation:

Mendel's experiments with pea plants lead to two principles:

  • Law of segregation which states that the pair of alleles (for any trait) of each parent separate, meaning that one allele passes from father and another from mother  to an offspring.
  • Law of independent assortment which states that different pairs of alleles (for different traits) are passed to offspring independently of each other (traits are located on different chromosomes).
